Located atop the hill at the southern end of Hua Hin Beach, Wat Khao Takiab (often called the "Chopstick Hill Temple") is a unique spiritual site. Perched on a cliff overlooking the ocean, it serves not only as a place of worship but also as one of the most breathtaking panoramic viewpoints in Prachuap Khiri Khan province.
At the base of the hill, you are welcomed by a majestic, 20-meter tall golden Buddha statue facing the sea. This iconic "Standing Buddha" is a popular spot for travelers to pay their respects and take photos before heading up to the hilltop.
The walk up the stairs to the main temple complex requires a bit of effort, but the reward is worth it. Once at the top, you’ll be treated to a spectacular view of the sweeping Hua Hin coastline. The refreshing sea breeze makes the climb feel instantly rewarding.
The temple grounds house a replica of the Buddha’s Footprint and a shrine dedicated to Luang Pu Thuat. The beautiful Thai architecture, combined with the deep blue backdrop of the Gulf of Thailand, creates a serene and photogenic atmosphere.
